Liberty Township is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of full time Road and Maintenance employee. This position performs general maintenance and care of township roads, cemeteries, equipment and buildings and other duties as directed by Township Trustees.
The position requires a courteous and professional manner working for the public. The employee will be required to have a valid Ohio Commercial Driver’s License (Class B with air brakes) along with knowledge to operate large and small equipment. This job will require some lifting and heavy labor. Applicants must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
This is a full time job with benefits. Wages will be hourly based upon experience and ability.

Specifically, the township has a lot of Johnson grass which is a noxious weed that is very aggressive and will take over farm fields, yards, etc. in a very short time if not controlled. Property owners who construct homes, additions to homes, barns, storage sheds, and other outdoor structures or accessory buildings are required to obtain a permit from the Zoning Department. Outdoor structures include swimming pools, fences, porches, decks, and signs.
Commercial buildings, signs and other structures also require permits. Please refer to the Zoning Department Page.
Permits may take up to 30 days for issuance, although normally become available in a fraction of the time.
